She was inspired by watching her father, Don Sheppelman, a local real estate broker, who helped hundreds of local families with their housing needs in the Champaign/Urbana community for over 20 years.
Fittingly, Barb has become one of the area's most trusted real estate professionals. By listening to your goals, getting involved with the details of your move and simply being there for you every step of the way, she helps lead you and your family through a smooth, worry-free transaction. After all, this dedicated professional wants nothing more than to make a positive difference during this important transition in a clients’ life.
A person who takes your needs to heart, Barb also makes certain to provide constant updates along the way. This dynamic businesswoman makes it her priority to be available to answer the questions that may arise during your home sale or purchase.
Barb's goal is to provide personal service and a low pressure atmosphere so you feel secure with the decisions you make throughout your next move. Utilizing her lifelong area knowledge and extensive expertise, she helps make the real estate experience an enjoyable one. Barb has successfully drawn from her 26 years of real estate service, property management experience and legal assistant knowledge to become one of the area’s leading real estate professionals.
Because of Barb’s extensive real estate background and reputation within the local community, she was asked to join the group of investors that opened the Keller Williams office in Champaign, Illinois in 2007. By the fall of 2010, the local Keller Williams office has grown to nearly 70 agents and continues to increase its market share annually. She is also honored to serve on the Keller Williams Associate Leadership Counsel at the local, regional and international levels.
Barb believes in the value of continuing education. She attends numerous courses and events through the year to better position herself to provide you cutting edge sales techniques, industry trends and utilize today’s technologies. To better service her clients, Barb holds her ABR® (Accredited Buyer’s Representative, GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) and ASP™ (Accredited Staging Professional) designations.
Barb is the proud mother of three boys, Kristian, 19, who attends the University of Illinois, Nick, 16, who attends The High School of St. Thomas More and Jeremy, 10, who attends St. Thomas Grade School. Barb believes in taking a very active role in their lives. Whether she's cheering on one of them at their baseball, football or basketball games, volunteering to help out with school fundraising, or simply catching up as a family over dinner, Barb makes staying involved in her family's lives her number one priority. For this devoted mother, it's the only way to ensure she will positively impact them and provide them with a solid foundation on which to build their dreams.
Those closest to Barb will tell you, her smile is the brightest when surrounded by loved ones. “My family is at the center of my world,” she explains. “It's refreshing to raise my children in a place that shares my strong focus on family and commitment to community.” As a lifelong resident of the Champaign-Urbana area, Barb truly appreciates its exceptional quality of life, small town atmosphere and warm, friendly people.

She grew up in a small, farm town in Central Illinois where she learned the value of hard work, integrity and the importance of community at a young age. She received her undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University and upon graduation worked as a publicist in the music industry in Nashville. A few years later, she became the volunteer director of a Nashville literacy organization. After eight years of living in the Middle Tennessee area, she decided to move back home to be closer to her family and to take a job at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. During her eight years at the University of Illinois, she worked in the Office of Student Financial Aid counseling students and parents and coordinated one of the largest America Reads/America Counts Federal Work-Study tutoring programs in the country. During this time, she also received a graduate degree in Human Resource Education.
Angie purchased her first home a few years ago. The entire home buying process was such a positive accomplishment that she was inspired to pursue a career in real estate. With a combination of her personal experience and professional background, she felt she could be the catalyst to help others make a positive transition in their lives. She understands the emotions that can come with buying or selling a home, and she is committed to providing a level of service that creates a smooth process and all-around positive experience for her clients.
Angie joined Keller Williams and the Gallivan & Associates team in 2007 and became a Buyer Specialist in 2009. Working with Angie is like having your own real estate consultant to guide you every step of the way towards reaching your home buying goals.
She enjoys living in the Champaign-Urbana area and taking advantage of all the area has to offer. She also loves spending time with family and friends, walking her black lab, Jack, and she’s a huge Illini and Chicago Bears fan!!

Dawn MohrAdministrative Assistant

Phone: Office: 217-239-7151Send Dawn a message.Dawn is a lifelong resident of Champaign County and a 1990 graduate of Urbana High School. She has witnessed the Champaign-Urbana area flourish into the spectacular community we enjoy today.
The real estate business is a perfect fit for Dawn. She truly enjoys working for Gallivan & Associates and has served as team manager since 2001. Dawn has been active in the growth of Gallivan & Associates and enjoys helping to insure a smooth transaction for both buyers and sellers.
The people she holds closest to her heart are her husband, Dennis, a life long resident and graduate of Mahomet High School and Jordan, her 19 year old son. Jordan is a 2011 graduate of Mahomet- Seymour High School and now a Freshman at Eastern Illinois Univerisity where he is studying Alternative/Renewable Energy in the Applied Engineering Program. Jordan has moved on from the busy activities of a high school athlete and Eagle Scout to joining the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.
